I mostly focused on the moral of the story; however, I can also see how people would find this story very blasphemous.
To your side note: I saw the similarity to the Gollum as well!

When reading about Hashim's greed I kept thinking about Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice even though, for the most part, it is not similar at all. Mostly it was because Hashim's greed ultimately destroys him and his family.

I've heard about those sprinkler systems but have never seen one in action. They sound really cool; I wish I had something like that and that more farmers used them. And the Liger thing sounds horrible. I didn't know they actually existed. Do you know if they mate or are they like mules?
